Cancun Museum
Located next to the Convention Center in the Hotel Zone, the museum operates under the auspices of the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia. Artifacts on display include the stone and the stucco head from El Rey, clay figurines from the island of Jaina in Campeche, stelae from Cobá and San Gervasio on Cozumel, incense burners from Dzibanche, carved jade, ceramics, jawerly and stone carvings. Opening hours: Monday - Sunday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Accesible admission, free on Sunday.

Architecture

Cancun's sleek skyline showcases the imaginative work of renowned mexican architects. Architectural styles reflect an array of influences: the ancient maya, futuristic glass pyramids, Spanish Colonial, romanesque, neo-classic, the Caribbean and the 21 st century. Lobby atriums hung with vines, indoor jungles, marbel floors and rich woods accent the interiors of these megaresorts, while the facades and grounds are set with lush tropical gardens and waterfalls worthy of the wild.

 

Interactive Aquarium
Located at La Isla Shopping Village, km 12.5. The fisrt one in its type in Latin America. There are lots of caribbean fishes, and different types of coral reef.
